Overview

The trip

Flamenco, recognised by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage, grew in Andalusia from the meeting of several cultures.

In Barcelona, students visit the Palau de la Música Catalana, a UNESCO World Heritage concert hall. In Granada, they study flamenco in the Sacromonte, where Romani families have kept it alive for generations, and visit the Manuel de Falla house museum. In Seville, the Museo del Baile Flamenco shows how the art form grew.
