In Vienna, students explore the Haus der Musik, an interactive museum of sound, and tour the State Opera and the Musikverein, whose Golden Hall hosts the Vienna Philharmonic's New Year's Concert. In Salzburg, Mozart's Birthplace and the Mozarteum University show where a child prodigy grew up and how musicians are trained there today. In Leipzig, students visit the Thomaskirche, where Bach worked for 27 years and where the Thomanerchor still sings, and the Bach Museum. In Berlin, home of the Berlin Philharmonic, the tradition continues today.
